One of the most exciting developments of this century is the massive prevalence of innovative portable technology. Despite the relatively recent innovation of these smart technologies, they are now commonplace in society. For example, cell phones have been replaced by smartphones, computers replaced by laptops and smart tablets, doorbells and lamps have received smart technology innovations, and pocket and wrist watches have made way for smartwatches.

Smart and Stylish — Here are our favorite smartwatches on the market in 2022.

Apple Watch Series 8

Our first smartwatch feature comes from the global tech giant, Apple. The Apple Watch Series 8 is the newest edition of one of the most popular smartwatches worldwide. Starting at $399, the smartwatch from Apple is one of the most high-end watches on the market today.

The Series 8 has all the same features as previous models, including; heart rate and health monitoring technologies, iMessage and apple pay functionality, GPS tracking and navigation, LTE browsing capabilities, and more.

Along with these functions, the new Series 8 also comes with a larger screen and crash detection system. Furthermore, the new Series 8 now features a low battery mode that helps to massively extend battery life. New health systems also allow Series 8 smartwatches to monitor and track fertility cycles, providing users with crucial information. With a wide array of features and a durable design, the Series 8 is an excellent option for anyone.

Apple Watch Series 7

I quickly want to touch on the Series 7 Apple Watch before moving forward. This is a great alternative option for those who want a high-end smartwatch at a more affordable price. With the release of the Series 8, the older edition models currently sell for around $150 cheaper than their new counterparts. In addition, the Series 7 comes with nearly all the same features as the Series 8 and still functions very effectively. So for those looking for an Apple smartwatch who don’t need the extra bells and whistles, the Series 7 is a great option.

 FitBit Sense

Next on our list of stylish smartwatches is the FitBit Sense. FitBit has made a name for itself as one of the top brands in the smartwatch and fitness industry, and its newest model, the FitBit Sense, continues to impress. The FitBit sense features a sleek design and a battery life of nearly six days.

It may lack some of the iPhone compatibility features of the Apple Watch series, but it features top-of-the-line health and wellness technologies. For example, the FitBit sense features ECG readings, blood oxygen levels, skin temperatures, and more.

All these serve to make the FitBit Sense one of the top fitness smartwatches on the market. Furthermore, the FitBit sense starts at just $249.99, making it an affordable option compared to the new Apple Series 8.

FitBit Versa 2

Another more affordable counterpart to the FitBit Sense is the FitBit Versa 2. Starting at just $149, the FitBit Versa is one of the most affordable smartwatches on the market. Although they have since released the Versa editions 3 and 4, the FitBit Versa 2 still serves as one of the best value options on the market.

Customers can expect a lightweight and durable design, and the Versa 2 features an always-on display. In addition, the Versa 2 has high-quality fitness monitoring and offers alexa services. While it doesn’t feature GPS services, the Versa 2 is still a quality option for those looking for a smartwatch on a budget.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

Our next smartwatch to look into is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. Samsung’s counterpart to the Apple Watch Series is perfect for Android users. With a price point starting at $279, or as low as $114.99 with trade-in, the Galaxy Watch 5 isn’t going to break the bank. The smartwatch features a 40-44 mm scratch-resistant screen and a 50-hour battery life. In addition, the design is lightweight, sporty, and sleek, with a few different color options.

Similarly to the Apple Series watches, the Galaxy Watch 5 comes with Samsung pay compatibility and access to an app store. In addition, the watch comes with a built-in skin temperature sensor, google assistant capabilities, and many more Android and Samsung-specific features. So for any Android smartphone user looking for a smart and stylish watch, check out the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.

Amazfit Bip S

The final smartwatch we will look at today is the Amazfit Bip S. With a starting point of $39.99, the Amazfit Bip S is the best cheap smartwatch on the market. It does not include many of the excess features that earlier mentioned smartwatches have, but it is effective nevertheless.

The Bip S can play music, provide GPS services, monitor vitals, check the weather, and more. It comes in various colors and has around 24 hours of battery life. For those looking for a genuinely affordable smartwatch option, we highly recommend the Amazfit Bip S.
